Pre-Care
Please make sure to exfoliate your lips a week prior to appointment. You can do this at home with a drop of coconut oil and sugar to create your own sugar scrub. Dry lips cannot be worked on so it’s important to stay hydrated and to moisturize your lips daily. I recommend using Aquaphor.

How long does Lip Blush last?

Results will last 2-4 years after your initial session and touch up depending on your lifestyle, health, skin factors and age. Additional touch ups may be required depending on the person and look desired.

Will I need a touch-up?

Yes! Touch-up is the final step of the Lip Blush procedure. First touch up should be done 6 weeks after initial procedure. Lips will be 50% lighter than they appear immediately after the procedure. Touchup sessions will make results last longer and we will go over any pigment loss during healing process and fill any spots that did not retain pigment during the initial procedure.

Does It hurt?

Sensitivity varies from person to person, topical anesthetic is applied before and during the procedure to minimize any discomfort. It is also important to follow the pre-care instructions in order to feel the most comfortable and pain free throughout the procedure.

How long is the procedure?

The total procedure takes approximately 2.5 - 3 hours which includes reviewing medical history, procedure information, photos, colour selection, after care instructions and answering questions. Pre- and post-procedural photos will be taken to have better ideas about face/lip asymmetry and to document the outcome of the procedure. Every face is asymmetrical but most people do not realize this until closer inspection of their photos.  If the natural face lines and features are followed during the procedure, permanent makeup may highlight any asymmetries or imperfections.

The most important part of permanent makeup is drawing/sketching and creating the right shape. I will work with you to create a mutually agreed upon and client approved design which takes about 30 minutes.

Pre-numbing takes 30 minutes (you will also be numbed during the procedure). The tattooing taking about 1-1.5 hours.

For safety and comfort considerations due to the length of time involved in the procedure, NO guests are allowed in the studio.
